Review: My mother-in-law, Vera Payne, requested that I post her review of Sand Plum:“I’ve been living at Sand Plum for a little more than a year, and I’m very happy. It has a comfortable, homelike environment, and I feel safe and secure. The staff is kind, caring and quite efficient. The activities director, Brittany, works at getting everyone involved. You can be as busy as you want to be with crafts, games, bus trips, outside entertainment and a weekly onsite church service. My apartment is cleaned weekly, including laundry, and medications are managed for me. The staff supports my passion for gardening and has allowed me to be involved in landscaping improvements around the property. I love it here!”

Review: My mom has lived at Sand Plum two years now. As is the case with most assisted living facilities there has been turnover of staff, but Britney and D have been great supports for my mom. She loves her friends and neighbors and tells me frequently how much she appreciates living there.

Review: The administration and staff are very helpful and professional. I worked here before and the only reason I left was due to being needed on the weekends and I am involved in church and need to be there on Sundays. Administration try and make it a fun, safe atmosphere for residents and staff! They have wonderful activities and outings you can check some pics out here in the website of them having fun activities! The building is clean and beautiful!

Review: I am a resident of Sandplum. I've lived here a year. Staff is helpful and tries hard. The rooms are arranged in such a way that there is lots of storage and the apartment seems bigger than it's actual size. The food is great, housekeeping is honest and helpful, medication aids help me with my meds. Maintenance moves quickly to fix things and has a great attitude! I like it so much here I referred a friend to live here too. She has moved in, and she likes it too.

Review: We moved our Mother into Sand Plum Sept 3, 2024. Everyone super friendly. Then she broke her hip on Sept 6. Hospital stay, rehab and unfortunately she passed Oct 2. Spent 6 nights in her apartment. We paid an activity fee, Sept rent and Oct rent, not suspecting she would pass so quickly. So, we spent $8,350 for 6 nights. We specifically asked the admissions director what would happen upon her death, and were told lease would be terminated and we would receive a refund for balance of the month she passed. We have been thru this before with a different facility and received a refund within a few days. We have called Dani several times and she will not take our call, nor would she return voice messages. I would not take my dog to this place. Management is a joke and employee turnover is thru the roof. Be sure you read reviews and check other facilities before coming here!Update: Nothing absolutely Nothing!! For a supposed family owned, family friendly business, they care nothing for YOUR family, only their own pocketbooks. Don't waste your money here. The old saying you get what you pay for, but we sure didn't. She got zero care, just a few meals, no activities and it cost her $8350. She scrimped and saved her whole life for this? May she rest in peace, not knowing what s scam place this is. Regret ever coming here!
